On Nov. 16, the Baptist Builders Club board of administrators met with the director at the GARBC Resource Center in Schaumburg, Ill., to review applications submitted by GARBC churches. The men discussed and prayed for each church individually before deciding how much financial assistance to give each one.

Churches receiving grants from the Build Up Fund are Hope Community Baptist Church, Cherry Valley, Calif.; First Baptist Church, Grundy Center, Iowa; and Community Regular Baptist Church, Bussey, Iowa.

The three-year-old Hope Community Baptist was granted $8,000 to assist in purchasing a baptistry and sound equipment.

First Baptist, an established GARBC church (it has been in existence for 143 years), is in the process of adding Sunday School rooms. This church received $7,500 to continue its building project.

With the help of a missions agency and church members, the newly organized Community Regular Baptist recently completed constructing its first church building. The board granted the church $10,000 to assist with air-conditioning and a parking lot.

One church received a grant from the Start Up Fund: Great Commission Baptist Church, Schaumburg, Ill. This church plant, nestled in a strip mall surrounded by local businesses, is in its second year. The $10,000 grant given by Baptist Builders Club will be used to continue the church’s efforts to effectively minister to its community.

Rejoice with the BBC–USA administrators and these churches for the finances that have been made available! God has provided these funds through the gifts of faithful Baptist Builders Club members.
