The God Who Saves

By December 9, 2012No Comments

There is no God else beside me; a just God and a Savior; there is none beside me. Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. Isaiah 45:21b-23 KJV

These statements stand in opposition to false images of God. Although this has long been a problem, it was in Isaiah’s day, it has become prevalent in our day. People have cast off what the Bible teaches about God for their own image of Him. The challenge is to bring such false ideas together and see if their combined wisdom and effort can do anything to save us. It is implied that nothing would happen because they are not real. There is only one God, the God of the Bible. He is just and is the only God who saves because there is none other. No matter where we live, from one end of the world to the other, God is available, instead of looking to false images that cannot save, let’s be sure to look to Him.

Lord, according to Your Word I have found You to be just and a Savior, help me to discard any false ideas I may have about You as I get to know You better through Your Word. Your Word is true and provides the only means of truly knowing You.
