We have tremendous value because we are fearfully and wonderfully made. Growing up, I never quite believed that about myself, but one day I came across this psalm which states, “I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” Now it’s true, we could take this statement as the personal conviction of David, but what we cannot do is limit it to him because its scope includes all of us. The reason it includes all of us is because the same God that made David, made each of us. Have you ever noticed how great works of art increase in value because of the one who made them? No matter who we are, how well known we are, or what we are able to do, we have value, tremendous value, because of who made us.
Lord, You know everything about me because You made me as I am. Because You made me I am special, and I serve the purpose for which You made me. Help me to never forget the personal value I and others have because of the touch of Your hand.
