Generate Churches

The United States—the third largest mission field in the world—is ripe with gospel opportunities. Nearly 500 people groups now live in our neighborhoods, but more than 80 percent of people in the U.S. do not attend church regularly.

That’s why Generate is committed to fueling the reproduction of GARBC churches. We believe church planting is the most effective means of reaching people who have no personal relationship with God.

Become a Parent Church

This is the opportune time for us to partner with churches like First Baptist in Spring Valley, California, to start new congregations across our country. If God is calling you to plant a church, we are ready to partner with you!

For information, contact Clare Jewell, director of Generate, or one of the following mission agencies that have expertise in church planting:

Micro Networks

One of the most effective ways to generate leaders and churches is to form networks of four or five churches. These micro networks allow leaders to engage in the kind of trust-building relationships needed for ministry partnerships.

In 2020 we generated nine micro networks across the country that meet in a monthly virtual cohort for prayer, idea sharing, and accountability. Each network is actively developing a core group of churches that agree on minimum member requirements and specific plans to renew and plant churches and to reproduce leaders.

Church Planting

Generate offers churches, mission agencies, and state organizations up to $30,000 to help with church planting efforts. These funds can be used in the prelaunch, launch, and growth phases during the first three years of a church’s existence.

Generate also provides products and services to help church plants reach their communities.

We pray this initiative will encourage more leaders to consider church planting.

Church Planter Assessment

Generate is committed to helping potential church planters identify their gifts, skills, and capacity to plant a church.

Church planting is not easy. That’s why we work with you to determine your readiness and identify the best role for you.

To find out if you’re ready to plant a church, take this free online assessment. The Initial Screening Assessment will assess your experience and readiness in the following areas:

  • Church planting
  • Entrepreneurial leadership

After you submit the assessment, our coordinator of church planting will follow up with you to discuss the results and next steps.
